What's IHBB結成初ライブでした。超緊張しましたが、満員のお客様（立ち見あり）に見守られてあっという間に全曲吹き切りました。この後コロナ禍が襲い掛かりギリギリ間に合ったデビューライブでした。

It was the debut live performance of What's IHBB. All the members were extremely nervous, but with a full house of guests (including standing room), we managed to power through all the songs in no time. This was just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, making it a close call for our debut live.

コロナ禍で一度延期した都雅都雅での初ライブ。音響はもちろん木村文子。最高の演奏ができました。


The first live performance at Togatoga, which was postponed once due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The sound engineering was, of course, done by Ayako Kimura. We were able to deliver an outstanding performance.

ライブも3回目となるとだんだん慣れてきて本当に楽しんで演奏できた気がします。今回の目玉は横尾昌二郎さんにアレンジをお願いしたマイケルジャクソンの「Heal The World」です。世界でここでしか出せない音が出せました。

By the time we reached our third live performance, we had gotten more comfortable and truly enjoyed playing. The highlight this time was the arrangement of Michael Jackson's "Heal The World" by Shojiro Yokoo. We were able to produce a unique sound that can only be heard here, in this setting.

初めての都雅都雅Bigband Oneday Jazz！自分らの演奏も頑張りましたが、堀とあつこで全体仕切りも頑張りましたよ。そしてこれがTp三木さんの最後のステージになるとは誰も思いませんでした。

Our first Togatoga Big Band One-Day Jazz (TOBOJ)! We worked hard on our performance, but Hori and Atsuko also put in a lot of effort to organize the entire event. No one could have imagined that this would be trumpet player Miki-san's final stage.

今回は「サックスたちの詩」と銘打って、サックス陣に注目した選曲となりました。​この日の数日前に三木さんが逝去されるという緊急事態になりましたが、ペットは残った3人でなんとか吹き切りました。冥福をお祈りします。またトロンボーンも2/4がピンチヒッターと、全体にかなり苦しいバンド運営となりましたが終わってみれば写真の通りハッピー！横尾さんにお願いしたChan's Songも初演。

This time, we focused on the sax section with a program titled "The Poetry of the Saxophones." A few days before this performance, we faced the sudden loss of Miki-san, which was an emergency situation. However, the remaining three trumpet players managed to play through it. We pray for his soul. Additionally, with 2 out of 4 trombonists being substitutes, the overall band management was quite challenging. But once the performance was over, as shown in the photo, we were all happy! We also premiered "Chan's Song," arranged by Yokoo-san.

2回目の都雅都雅Bigband Oneday Jazzで仕切りもかなり慣れたものでした。他のバンドさんも素晴らしい演奏で、イベントとして少しづつ定着してきた感があります。IHBBとしてはペットのあゆみちゃんが諸事情で出れずレギュラー補充ができない中、秋篠くんと木津さんが助っ人で入ってくれて素晴らしいプレイをしてくれたのがよかったです。今回もGoodwin多め、MISIAで締める相変わらずですが激しい選曲となりました。

By the second Togatoga Big Band One-Day Jazz, we had become much more accustomed to organizing the event. The other bands also delivered wonderful performances, and it feels like the event is gradually becoming a regular fixture. For IHBB, Ayumi-chan, our regular trumpet player, couldn’t make it due to various circumstances, so we couldn’t fill her spot with a regular member. However, Akishino-kun and Kizu-san stepped in as substitutes and delivered outstanding performances, which was fantastic. Once again, we had a strong dose of Goodwin, and finished with MISIA—our intense selections were as usual!

クリスマスイブの2日前の単独ライブなのにクリスマス曲が1曲もない珍しいライブとなりました。コンマス堀がMCで喋りすぎて30分も押すというハプニングも。今回はペットの助っ人に横尾昌二郎さんの奥様の横尾拓子さんに入ってもらいました。コンマスとは別バンドで何回かご一緒してよく知っているのですが、ソロも素晴らしくうっとりして聴いてました。全体に激アツの演奏となり吹くひと聴く人共にぐったりしたのかも。

It was a rare live performance just two days before Christmas, yet there wasn’t a single Christmas song in the setlist. There was also an unexpected situation where concertmaster Hori talked too much during the MC, causing the event to run 30 minutes overtime. This time, we had Hiroko Yokoo, the wife of Shojiro Yokoo, step in as a trumpet substitute. While we had played together in different bands before and were well-acquainted, her solo performance was truly amazing, and we were all mesmerized listening to her. The overall performance was intense, and perhaps both the performers and the audience were left feeling exhausted from the energy!
