この日、かねてからコンマス堀が暖めていたビッグバンド構想をさうりるの二人（今田博、Atsuko）に相談。結成に向けて始動をした。会議会場は西院のサイゼリア。この後しばらく会議場、打ち上げ場として活用。フォッカチオ・シナモンアイス乗せがメニューからなくなり利用が見送られるようになる。
 

On this day, concertmaster Hori, who had been nurturing the idea of a big band for some time, consulted with the two members (Hiroshi Imada and Atsuko) about the formation. This marked the start of the band's creation. The meeting venue was a Saizeriya in Saiin. For a while, it was used as both a meeting space and a venue for after-parties. However, after the Focaccia with cinnamon ice cream was removed from the menu, its use was eventually discontinued.

2019/4/9

初リハの2ヶ月前にコンマス堀が急病にて倒れ入院。バンド結成が危ぶまれる。がなんとな5月には退院し復帰。いきなり最初からつまずく。

Two months before the first rehearsal, concertmaster Hori suddenly fell ill and was hospitalized, putting the band's formation in jeopardy. However, he somehow recovered and was discharged in May, making a comeback. The band, however, stumbled right from the very beginning.

2019/6/23

この日、What's IHBB?​初リハ！＠さうりる。コンマス堀、初仕切りで緊張。みんな初めてやる曲ばかりなのにしっかり予習してきてくれたので、いきなりもう仕上がっている状況に。リハ後にはさうりるにて結成大会（打ち上げ）。

On this day, the first rehearsal for What's IHBB? took place at Sauriru. Concertmaster Hori was nervous, handling his first rehearsal as the leader. Despite everyone playing songs for the first time, they all came well-prepared, so by the end of the rehearsal, everything was already coming together. Afterward, we held the formation celebration (after-party) at Sauriru.

2020/2/2

初単独ライブ＠RAG（京都）。記録では100人以上の来客となり立ち見となった。コンマスは初めてのビッグバンドの仕切りで完全にあがってしまい、喉がカラカラ。水を4リッターほど飲む。

Our first solo live performance at RAG (Kyoto). According to the records, we had over 100 guests, with some standing. The concertmaster, leading the big band for the first time, became extremely nervous and ended up with a dry throat, drinking about 4 liters of water.

2020/4/1

トランペット三木さんがレギュラーに。ラグでの初ライブ後にメンバーを募集しているとアナウンスしたところ、真っ先に手を挙げてくれた。リハにはほぼ毎回来て、リードの中井氏から色々学んだとのこと。2023/12逝去。

Trumpet player Miki-san became a regular member. After our first live performance at RAG, we announced that we were recruiting new members, and Miki-san was the first to express interest. He attended almost every rehearsal and learned a great deal from the lead, Nakai. Unfortunately, Miki-san passed away in December 2023.

2020/4~5

コロナ禍によりリハ中断。初めてのパンデミックでどうすることもできずWeb飲み会を定期的に開催するのみとなった。バンドやライブハウスに対する風当たりが強く、無念の活動休止。

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, rehearsals were suspended. Being our first experience with a pandemic, there was little we could do, so we only held regular online drinking sessions. With the strong public backlash against bands and live houses, we were reluctantly forced to suspend our activities.

RAGで予定していた2回目のライブは当然ながらコロナで中止

2020/12

メンバーの一部変動のため、バリトンに今井紫織が入る、アルトの升田ちなみが転職ため卒業。コンマスの前のバンド活動からの盟友が去ってしまった。

Due to some changes in the lineup, Shiori Imai joined on baritone, while Chinami Masuda graduated as she changed jobs. A close friend of the concertmaster, who had been with the band since before, has now departed.

2021/1~2

またもコロナ禍のためリハ中断。なかなか患者数が減らなくてイライラ。

Rehearsal interrupted again due to the coronary disaster. Frustrated that the number of patients is not decreasing.

2021/6/12

都雅都雅で予定していた単独ライブがコロナ禍の緊急事態宣言の延長を受け中止。6月には解除されるだろうとして直前までリハをして仕上がっていたのに無念！

Our solo live performance scheduled at Togatoga was canceled due to the extension of the state of emergency during the COVID-19 pandemic. We had been rehearsing right up until the last minute, believing that the restrictions would be lifted in June, and the performance was almost ready. It was truly disappointing!

2023/1/11

「都雅都雅 One Day Big Band Jazz 2023」（略称TOBOJ）を企画、始動。

​長いコロナ禍が明けてようやく思い通りに音を出せる社会状況になり、今まで活動できなかったビッグバンドに声をかけ、もう一度一緒に活動して京都のジャズシーンを盛り上げたいという思いで、4バンド対バン企画を始めた！参加バンドはゲミューゼ、TGM、Jazz Holic、IHBBとなった。

The "Togatoga One Day Big Band Jazz 2023" (abbreviated as TOBOJ) was planned and launched.

With the long COVID-19 pandemic finally behind us, the social situation had improved enough to play music freely again. This allowed me to reach out to big bands that had not been able to perform until then. With the desire to bring the scene back to life and work together once again to revitalize Kyoto's jazz scene, I started a 4-band battle event! The participating bands were Gemüse, TGM, Jazz Holic, and IHBB.

2023/4/5

横尾昌二郎さんにアレンジをお願いしたDianne ReevesのChan’s Songを初めてリハする。良い！その後、マイケルジャクソンの「Heal The World」のアレンジも頼む。

We had our first rehearsal for the arrangement of Dianne Reeves' "Chan’s Song," which was arranged by Shojiro Yokoo. It sounded great! Later on, we also asked him to arrange Michael Jackson's "Heal The World" for us.

IHBBビール課が発足。西院のまる満にて定例会議を開く。

2023/8/17

堀、京都αステーションに出演しTOBOJのPRをする。初めてのラジを出演で緊張するもなんとか上手く喋り倒した。

Hori appeared on Kyoto α Station to promote TOBOJ. It was his first time on the radio, and although he was nervous, he managed to talk smoothly and promote the event effectively.

第1回TOBOJ開催！6時間以上のイベントで結構クタクタになったけど、大成功！次回は2024/9/8に決定！

The first TOBOJ was a huge success! It was an event lasting over six hours, and although we were pretty exhausted, it went incredibly well. The next one is already scheduled for September 8, 2024!

都雅都雅で単独ライブ！「サックスたちの詩」と題してサックスチームをドンと目立たせたライブにしました。

We held a solo live performance at Togatoga! Titled "The Poetry of the Saxophones," we made sure to highlight the saxophone section and give them a prominent stage presence.

第2回TOBOJのPRをまたまたαステーションで。今回は堀とあつこと二人で喋り倒した。

We promoted the second TOBOJ once again on α Station. This time, Hori and Atsuko were together, talking non-stop about the event!

12月の単独ライブのPRをFMおおつのヒラカンさんの「スイラジ」で実施。今回は堀とピアノの奈美ちゃんとで。

We promoted our December solo live performance on FM Ootsu's "Sui-Raji" with Hirakan-san. This time, Hori and pianist Nami-chan were the ones speaking on air.
